Ellis Lesemann

Ellis was raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and returned to Charleston in May 2000 to pursue his legal career in the same town where his father practiced law for several decades.

A graduate of Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, Ellis completed his undergraduate degree from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, after studying for two years in the Honors Program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  He also completed a three-month Sprachenschule Program in Lichtenfels, Germany.

Knowing since childhood that he wanted to be an attorney, Ellis attended and completed the joint degree program in Law and International Business Studies (JD/IMBA) at the University of South Carolina. While in graduate school, he completed another intensive studies program in Cologne, Germany, and worked for six months in the Finanzabteilung of Honeywell AG in Offenbach, Germany.

Upon completing his studies, Ellis was admitted to the South Carolina bar in November 1998.  He has focused his practice on litigation ever since, with emphasis upon each of the firm’s core practice areas. Ellis has handled matters in 23 different counties within South Carolina and has worked with local counsel in 13 different states to deliver results for his clients.

He represents both plaintiffs and defendants from all walks of life and industries across a broad range of subject matters, working tirelessly to obtain his client’s objectives. His prior experience includes positions as an associate and partner at national and regional law firms, including service as the Charleston Marketing Partner of a large regional firm. Upon founding Lesemann & Associates in January 2014, he uses this prior experience to ensure that clients receive not only the advantages and efficiencies of a small dedicated firm, but also the skill and sophistication usually found in larger firms.

Ellis and his wife, Ann, live in Mount Pleasant with their three children, Ellen, Reed, and Jane.
